Now that this site is back up and running, I am going to post this for those in Washington State did not receive this directly via email. My only other thought this AM is - is it possible to sue the federal government for unfair practices, discrimination and bribery?

Here's the post:
There’s great news coming soon for Washington State due to the efforts of our awesome 4th District Representative Matt Shea! Matt has ten amendments poised and ready to be presented at the next session in Olympia. If he can’t get them out of committee, he will need our help to push forward with the people’s initiatives.

Matt caucused recently with other state reps and this will be undertaken by more states than Washington.

The following link will put a smile on your face – WE HAVE HOPE!!
In past history, the “doctrine of nullification” has been used effectively to force the federal government to rescind legislation they did not have the power to enforce.

Even Ron Paul has requested more information. 

I like your pledge idea.

I'm writing up a more detailed strategy for this. There are complex logistics making it nationwide, as well as payments and money and vetting. Later...

Edmund, I think your ideas are all very good.

For starters everyone might check out the following possible candidates to run against incumbents in WA State in 2010

http://www.berenforcongress.com/bio.html (McDermott seat)
http://www.chriswidener.org/index.html (Murray seat)
http://www.sean4senate.com/ (Murray)

I am nor necessarily supporting these candidates but hope everyone will take a look and read their positions. We really need to get these incumbents out of office and I think groups like this one are the key.

I am wondering if a pledge (written), by any candidate we are supporting that says they will under no circumstances condone earmarks , would be a good idea.?

I think your ideas are all good ones. I have been looking at the website of 2 of the possible candidates to run against Sen Murray.
http://www.chriswidener.org/index.html
http://www.sean4senate.com/
to run against McDermott
http://www.berenforcongress.com/bio.html
I skimmed them briefly and I think one thing to demand from any candidate is a pledge (written) that under no circumstances will they condone earmarks.
I am in no way supporting any of these candidates at this time. however I think everyone should give them look and read their ideas thoroughly

Dear friends,

I woke up this morning with an idea (probably not new) that might help us at the next election. I haven't worked out all of the details yet, but here is a skeleton:

(1) Trust each other across the Republic on Nation-wide lists to know who are good folks to vote for and who are NOT.

(2) Adopt as many of the good candidates (where ever they are) as you can afford to support, even if it's only $5 or $17.

(3) Adopt as many of the bad candidates as you can stand to write letters to.

(4) Create a standardized letter to the good candidates, stating your donation and who you are and WHERE YOU LIVE ! It should explain that you are supporting from long distance and that other members of our movement are doing the same.

(5) Create a standardized letter to bad candidates, stating that you have donated to their opposition (not the amount); that you are spending your personal war chest to defeat marxism; and who you are and WHERE YOU LIVE ! It should explain that you are opposing from long distance and that other members of our movement are doing the same.

(6) Other details go here... ??? Need to think...

If we, the Americans who went to DC and went to Tea Parties, and who wrote letters to politicians, and who signed petitions--- if WE ALL DO THIS, the sum total of support and of opposition would be enormous, yet it would not cost us more than a few thousand each.

Cheap to regain our Republic and throw the marxist thugs out.

My Campaign Platform...

I am for lower taxes, lower spending, reducing the deficit, smaller government and an open and transparent administration and the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. I know lots of politicans have said that in the past but how many have actually kept their promises?? None...I am going to be the first to keep my promises. I promise that I will never make a promise that I cannot keep. That is one promise I can keep. That is the one thing politcians have messed up on and have forgot to tell us and act on. Like shutting down Gitmo. Obama hasn't kept that promise. He also promised an open and transparent administration. He has lied from day one. I stand for the truth and for God. And I will actually listen to the American People. I will answer each e-mail, letter and fax my office gets from mayors, governors and the American People. Well, I'll do my best at that! I won't let any bill that sounds ridiculous reach my desk. If it does and I don't like it I won't sign it. I will veto it. These are promises that I can and will keep.

I will uphold the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

I would love to come home to Washington but I also love Louisiana. I consider Washington my home state since I grew up there and went to school there.

But also Louisiana is home now too. We will be ok with this storm. She's only going to be a tropical storm once she hits land.

I will check out the website. Thanks for the link!!
